What We're Doing
Trees
We donate to the Nature Conservancy Tree Planting Program As our way of offseting our wood consumption. FACT: We can make thousands of products from only one tree. We are happy to have planted 4,525 trees through our tree program and another 4,681 from an Event we Co produced, thus totalling 9,201 trees.
Windpower
For years we've purchased 100% wind energy from Xcel Energy's Windsource Program to power our shop. We work to run our shop as efficiently as possible, and make every attempt to limit our energy use every day.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
As a business and as individuals we try very hard to be aware of our carbon and waste footprint. We have already implemented many positive efforts and we encorage others to to do the same, some things are a lot easier than you may think...
- We utilize recycled and recyclable paper packaging whenever possible.
- We purchase items for our shop second (or third, or fourth) hand when available.
- We save all of our wood scraps for use in prototyping and future projects (after using every last piece that we can).
- We recycle everything possible.
- We have eliminated paper towels from our shop and we use the most efficient washer/dryer combo available.
- We use only natural cleaning agents around the shop.
- There are no harmful chemicals used in the manufacture of our products.
- 50%-70% of us ride bikes as transportation on a daily basis (depending on the weather).
- We recently upgraded our shop lights to 60% more efficient flourescents.

Wood Sourcing
We buy our woods from companies that follow the international rules when importing exotic woods.
One Last Thing...
We are all too aware that it can be difficult at times to do what we know is the right, or better, thing; and ZERO impact is an almost unattainable goal. However, as a company, and as individuals, we are obligated to do everything that we can to help our planet, no matter how small, because a lot of small efforts equal a huge effect. We encourage you all, no matter your beliefs or your backgrounds, to be the best person you can be; to others and to our environment. We are all in this together, and with teamwork we WILL succeed!
