CARGA BAGS

It all began with Mauro Bianucci
an Argentinean architect living in New York

with some leftover recycled wool felt
and he made himself a bag.

Soon Mauro’s work colleagues began making orders for bags
and Carga bags was born!

Now manufactured ethically in Argentina
the bags are made with recycled wool felt from Brazil, leather treated with natural anilines
and some hardware parts like aluminum pop rivets and washers.

Emerging in 2007 John Patrick Organic
has become one of the forerunners in sustainable fashion…

Materials used in his collection include:
vegetable tanned leather, botanical dyes, recycled fabrics, & organic wool yarns.

He also has revitalized traditional techniques
such as hand-weaving and whole-animal leather production.

John is one of the first designers to develop
a direct relationship with organic farm collectives in Peru
where he traveled to in order to learn more
about the production of hand-spun alpaca wool & cotton.
