TERMS OF SERVICE & STORE POLICIES

1. MADE-TO-ORDER PRODUCTION
All products sold at Omerica Organic are made to order, crafted individually to your specifications in the sequence orders are received. Because each piece is made specifically for you, please read this policy carefully before placing your order.
Production times vary based on current order volume, staffing, material availability, and other factors. While we work hard to fulfill orders as efficiently as possible, we do not guarantee specific turnaround times unless a timeline has been expressly confirmed in writing by our team.
If you have a deadline: Please contact us before placing your order so we can advise whether your timeline is achievable. We cannot expedite or prioritize orders based on communication made after an order is placed.
2. SIZING & WOOD TOLERANCES
Wood is a natural, organic material that responds to changes in humidity and temperature. Due to the inherent variability of wood, all Omerica Organic products carry an accepted manufacturing tolerance of +/- 0.3mm from the stated size.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this tolerance as a standard characteristic of handcrafted wood jewelry. Orders will not be eligible for return or exchange solely on the basis of a measurement that falls within this accepted range.
Please ensure you are ordering the correct size for your piercing before submitting your order. If you are unsure of your sizing, visit our Ear Gauge Sizing Guide or contact us and we will do our best to assist you.
3. ORDER CANCELLATIONS & MODIFICATIONS
Because every order enters our production queue immediately upon placement, cancellation and modification requests are time-sensitive.
- Cancellations or modifications requested within 24 hours of placing your order may be accommodated, provided production has not yet begun.
- Once production has begun, your order cannot be cancelled, modified, or refunded, except in the case of a defect or error on our part (see Section 4).
- Custom or personalized orders — including non-standard sizes, custom engravings, or special material requests — are non-cancellable and non-refundable once confirmed.
To request a cancellation or modification, contact us immediately with your order number. We will confirm in writing whether your request can be accommodated.
4. RETURNS & EXCHANGES
It's a really good one! We value your business and will always strive to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase.
TERMS:
Wood plugs, gauges, and earrings may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, in NEW UNOPENED condition. We send all our wood products in a sealed biodegradable baggie with an "Attention" sticker on them.
Exchanges on unopened wood products are welcome — just ship your item back and we'll get the right one out to you.
Returns on unopened wood products are accepted within 30 days and will be refunded minus a 50% restocking fee. Because all wood products are custom made to order, this fee reflects the cost of materials and labor already invested in your order.
All other products may be returned in new, unused condition within 30 days.
Shipping: Return and exchange shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. If we made an error on your order, we will cover return shipping and offer a full refund or replacement — just contact us and we'll make it right.
We guarantee our quality and workmanship. This does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by accident or neglect (dropping an item or water damage, for example). We send care info with every order to ensure proper care of your jewelry; failure to follow these instructions may void coverage.
Damaged in Transit: If your order arrives visibly damaged due to carrier handling, please photograph the packaging and product before removing items, then contact us. We will work with you to resolve the issue.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Plugs and earrings are packaged in small heat-sealed clear plastic baggies. Once removed from that sealed packaging, or once that sealed packaging is compromised in any way, the item is no longer eligible for return or exchange.
HOW TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE YOUR PURCHASE
1. If you do not have your customer and/or order number, reach out to us and we will look it up for you.
2. Include a note or invoice with your customer number and list the specifics of your exchange or the reason for your return.
3. Package your sealed product with the note in a padded mailer (NO paper envelope — bonus points for reusing the original packaging), then ship via one of the following:
- USPS First Class Mail (ideally with Delivery Confirmation)
- FedEx Ground
- UPS Ground
4. We will contact you once we receive the package with confirmation of your exchange or return.

5. SKIN REACTIONS & MATERIAL SENSITIVITY
Omerica Organic crafts all jewelry to the highest standards of quality. That said, wood is a natural organic material, and individual sensitivity varies from person to person. Please read the following carefully before ordering.
Finish: All wood jewelry is sealed and finished with carnauba wax, a plant-based, vegan wax derived from palm leaves. While generally well-tolerated, individual sensitivities are possible.
Wood Allergies: Some individuals may develop a reaction to specific wood species. Reactions are not common, but they are possible. If you have a known wood sensitivity or allergy, we encourage you to research the specific wood species in your order before purchasing.
Delayed Reactions: Reactions to new materials may not appear immediately. In some cases, a reaction may develop over days, weeks, or months of continued wear. We encourage you to pay attention to your body whenever introducing new materials, particularly in or near piercings.
Signs of a potential reaction include: itchiness, burning, redness, blistering, swelling, or unusual discharge. If you experience any of these symptoms, remove the jewelry immediately and consult a medical professional if symptoms persist or worsen.
Hygiene Notice: All jewelry ships cleaned but is not sterile. We recommend cleaning your jewelry before first insertion using a method appropriate for your piercing.
Limitation of Liability: SIM MFG, LLC (operating as Omerica Organic) cannot be held liable for any allergic reaction, skin sensitivity, or adverse response resulting from the use of our wood jewelry. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge awareness of the material characteristics described above and accept responsibility for determining whether our products are appropriate for your individual circumstances.
6. AGE REQUIREMENT
By placing an order with Omerica Organic, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older, or that you are a minor purchasing with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service.
SIM MFG, LLC is not responsible for the use of our products by minors without appropriate parental oversight.
7. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR ORDER ACCURACY
Because all products are made to your specifications, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information submitted at the time of ordering — including size, quantity, material selection, and any custom details.
Orders produced correctly according to submitted specifications are not eligible for return or exchange due to customer input error. If you believe you made an error in your order, contact us immediately (within 24 hours of placing your order) and we will advise whether a correction is possible.
8. PHOTOGRAPHY & MARKETING
Omerica Organic reserves the right to photograph completed pieces for use in product listings, social media, marketing materials, and other promotional purposes. No personally identifiable customer information will be associated with such photographs without your express written consent.
9. PRIVACY
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your purchase shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Colorado.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Omerica Organic reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our store following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
